The Karl Marx Card entitles the ticket holder to single entry to each of the four participating museums during the term of the state exhibition. The Karl Marx Card includes free entry for the ticket holder’s own children to the age of 16 years including.

Tours for the blind and visually impaired can be scheduled. A parking place for persons with disabilities is available to guests of the museum..

HOW TO GET THERE

Trier is near the border to Luxembourg. The two museums Rheinisches Landesmuseum and City Museum Simeonstift, are close enough to walk from one to the other. The path between the museums leads through the beautiful old town of Trier, past Roman monuments of UNESCO world heritage.

By public transport
Take the train to the Trier main station. From there, it is approx. a 15 min walk to the Rheinisches Landesmuseum, or you can take line 2, towards Heiligkreuz, to the Mustorstraße stop (400 m away). The Landesmuseum also is about a 400 m walk from the Kaiserthermen stop. Lines 2, 6, 7, 8, 10, 16 and 30 stop there.



Parking
Parking place Palastgarten (200 m), underground car park Basilika (300 m) or parking place Konstantinplatz(350 m). A visitor parking place for persons with disabilities is right in front of the museum.



Coach parking facilities

5-6 parking places subject to fees along the "Weberbach" street (near the Konstantin-Basilika) (250 m), 20 parking places subject to fees onthe bus parking place Kaiserthermen (300 m).

By public transport
The City Museum Simeonstift is located right next to the Porta Nigra at the entrance to the pedestrian zone. Nearly every bus line stops there at the centre of the inner city (stop: Porta Nigra). It's about a 10 minutes' walk from the train station.



Parking
The museum has no parking places of its own, but there are two public car parks in direct proximity.

 


Coach parking facilities
There is a coach set-down and pick-up point in Franz-Ludwig-Straße near the Porta Nigra.
